Helping Young Entrepreneurs overcome challenges and crises: A conversation with Charel Roemen from April 2020

During the height of the Covid-19 lockdown Richard sat down with Charel Roemen. A long-time friend and partner of Klauner’s, Richard focussed on Charel’s involvement in the Jonk Handwierk, a committee that aims to support entrepreneurs in Luxembourg below the age of 40.

Along the way, Charel outlines some of the challenges Luxembourgish entrepreneurs face from communications, financing and staff shortages. Above all, Roemen and Klauner are both established, multi-generational family businesses that are supportive of entrepreneurship in the country. The conversation is in sort a Call-to-Action to provide deeper links between institutional and established stakeholders who can help foster a supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem.
